Suzanne Levy- Karter of New Rochelle passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours on Saturday May 16th,2015.
An avid lover of animals, she owned a pet store in the New Rochelle Mall in the early 1980’s called Animal House Ltd.
She also owned a bar, Ketch 22 North on North Ave in New Rochelle in later years.
She went above and beyond donating her time to the rescue and care of animals as well as spending time with her family.
She is survived by her twin sister, Stormy(Charlie), her sister, Sandra Shaw, and her two children, Mitchell Dedios and Beth Levy- Nole. As well as her grandsons, Robert Dedios, Jake Nole and Ryan Nole
And her 3 nephews Mark Javlin, Michael LoCurto and Steven LoCurto.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Randi, who passed away in 1972 at the age of 16 years old. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7:00 t0 9:00 p.m. and an 11:30 a.m.Funeral Home Chapel Service on Wednesday with Rabbi Phillip Weinberger officiating. Interment will follow in the Sharon Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the New Rochelle Humane Society or the Scleroderma Foundation.
