It is with great sorrow the family of Anthony “Tony” LaGuidice announces his passing on Friday Nov. 16, 2018, at the age of 96.
Tony was born on Dec. 7, 1921 in New Rochelle where he resided for most of his life. He was one of 9 children born to the late Carmelo LaGuidice and Giovanina Pagliari LaGuidice.
He is survived by his loving wife Nan (Holly) LaGuidice who he was married to for over 53 years. He is also survived by his 2 daughters, Marcie (John) Dammacco, Stephanie Masterson; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, Heather and one surviving sister Josephine Formisano. As well as many nieces and nephews.
He was a proud Veteran who served in the U.S. Army Air Core during WWII and again in the U.S. army during the Korean War. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 8.
Among the many jobs Anthony has had over the years he owned and operated his own driving school business for over 15 years, Royal Crown Driving School. As well as worked as a school bus driver for Eastchester School system and was the superintendent at 170 Elm Street for over 30 years.
Tony’s favorite hobbies were wood working, bowling and golfing. As well as making everyone smile and laugh.
A memorial visitation with the family will be held at George T. Davis Funeral Home 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle on Dec. 1, 2018 from 11-1pm. A memorial service at 2pm will follow at New Rochelle United Methodist Church, 1200 North Ave, New Rochelle.
